Covenant Health's Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative for Oak Ridge Surgeons. This full-time role supports the check-out operations, processes encounter forms, and balances end-of-day payments to ensure accurate charging and smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include handling patient information updates, routing calls, scheduling visits, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• One year in medical office with scheduling, collection, and ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding experience, or three years of customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains departmental policies, quality assurance, and safety standards.
• May answer calls and route them appropriately.
• Receives and records changes in patient information.
• Understands insurance procedures and plans the provider participates in.
• Ensures fee slips reflect correct procedures and diagnoses for entry.
• Schedules return visits and end-of-day procedures and balances.
• Compiles data for billing personnel.
• Attends meetings and may serve on committees.
• Collaborates with patient, physician, and care team as part of a team-based approach.
• Follows policies, completes required education, and participates in quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
