Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks a Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Gastro to manage front desk duties and patient flow. You will greet patients, register new ones in EPIC, schedule tests, verify benefits, and process charges while supporting clinic operations at our Elmhurst location.

The role requires a HS diploma, computer skills, and a driver's license for off-site tasks; bilingual skills are a plus. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with flexible office hours.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.38 - $26.65 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Gastro

Location: 1200 S York Street, Elmhurst, IL

Full Time:

40 hours a week

Office Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Schedule varies between Office Hours.

Required Travel:

This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides front desk coverage.
• Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits.
• Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system.
• Clinic set-up and other office support.

What you will need

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Keyboard and computer skills
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

Preferred

• A minimum of three months previous business office OR healthcare based experience
• Previous insurance, managed care, and integrative medicine experience preferred
• Medical terminology or coding experience
• Bilingual Spanish helpful, but not required
