Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative for its Rehab team in Agawam, MA. Part-time (20 hrs) with alternating shifts, no weekends or holidays, in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include front-desk duties, insurance verification, and handling patient inquiries. Prior medical office experience is preferred; strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

Schedule

Part Time - 20 hrs M-F alternating shifts: 6:45am -10:45am and 3 -7pm No weekends or Holidays

Department Description

Multi-Disciplinary Outpatient Rehabilitation practice servicing Western MA for over 15 years. Gain Experience in the healthcare industry to include patient registration, scheduling, insurance authorization and billing. Collaborative work environment provides a positive patient and employee experience and is demonstrated through high patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients, check in and check out and requesting copays.
• Verifying insurances, answering telephones and faxing medical documents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Great interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST.
• Medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft office products, schedule systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred.

Compensation Philosophy

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
