Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a friendly front office professional to support patient flow in a physician practice. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and manage check-in/check-out processes with accuracy and care.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, patient communication, and efficient use of the electronic system to keep the office running smoothly and reliably.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: One year of customer service, preferably in a hospital or physician office.
• Sign on bonus is for new hires only.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients entering the practice and manages front desk communications.
• Answers phones, schedules, confirms and reschedules appointments.
• Checks in patients, verifies demographics and insurance, enters data in the system.
• Checks out patients, assists with referrals and scheduling.
• Collects co-pays and posts charges; processes charges and balances.
• Distributes information on policies and practice information.
• Explains and assists with the patient portal enrollment.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

A non-exempt medical office position responsible for front office processes in the physician practice

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Corporate Compliance Program.
• Greets patients entering the practice.
• Manages office communications, including answering phones, making, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
• Checks in patients, collects accurate patient demographics, verifies insurance, and enters data into the electronic system.
• Checks out patients and assists them with referral processing and scheduling.
• Collects co-pays and posts charges.
• Processes charge entry and patient balances.
• Distributes information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and practice information.
• Explains the patient portal and assists with patient enrollment.
• Performs additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED
