Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the Primary Care Resource Pool in the Oklahoma City area. You will travel to multiple clinic locations, greet patients, handle check-in/check-out, scheduling, and basic clerical tasks while maintaining accurate EHRs in EPIC.

The role emphasizes patient experience, workflow efficiency, and adherence to infection control guidelines. Prior experience is not required, but familiarity with medical offices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: None required. One year of applicable medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and verifies their identity in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
• Performs general clerical duties: answers phones, Epic chart creation, processes mail as appropriate. Performs scanning, manages RightFax, makes copies.
• Performs all necessary check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge and maintenance of clinic equipment (computer, scanner, credit card machine, copier/fax, calculator, postage).
• Reviews departmental communications, participates in meetings, suggests improvements in work.
• Supports and implements new changes in EPIC or workflows.
• Provides a safe and clean environment in reception and waiting area per Infection Control Guidelines.
• Maintains EHR and chart accuracy.
