Job summary

Olympic Sports & Spine is seeking a Patient Service Representative - Float to provide fill-in coverage across 24 clinics. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, proactive scheduling, and accurate insurance verification in a fast-paced medical setting.

As a full-time PSR Float, you will support multiple clinics with a comprehensive training program and ongoing support. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits, with hours typically Monday–Friday, starting as early as 7:00

Qualifications

• Minimum High School graduation or equivalent AND three years of experience in an appropriately related position OR Equivalent education/experience
• Experience in medical scheduling and front desk duties is preferred

Responsibilities

• Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services including calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, chart maintenance, filing and communication with referral sources
• Manage high-volume patient scheduling: handle incoming calls, collect information for treatment/billing, verify insurance and obtain authorizations when needed
• Print and file reports, balance cash daily, pull charts for next day’s appointments, and coordinate with billing and treating staff

Patient Service Representative - Float

PSR Float provides “fill-in” coverage at all 24 clinics.

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is looking for a Patient Service Representative - Float. Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is committed to providing quality customer service and care to our patients and being a great employer to our employees. All PSRs receive a comprehensive training program and ongoing support. In addition, OSS is offering an $8,000 pay differential for this position to reflect our appreciation and understanding of the commitment requiredto work at any OSS location.

This is a full-time position; 40 hours per week are guaranteed. This job requires working Monday - Friday (no weekends); work hours may vary, but will begin no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and end no later than 6:20 p.m.

Summary of Duties:

Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services. Patient service functions include patient phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. Additionally, PSR will perform other daily operational functions associated with the front desk position.

Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling:

• Receive incoming patient phone calls.


• Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes.


• Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required.


• Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources.


• Scan documents into the patient's account.


• Build and maintain all patient charts.


• Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports.


• Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls


• Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.


• Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve any patient issues.


• Open and sort mail daily.


• Perform related duties as required.


• Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.
