Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Service Rep in Woodridge, IL. You will handle pre-registrations, registrations, order management, and billing tasks for in-patient, out-patient, ER, and same-day surgery patients.

Expect 24 hours weekly with rotating shifts and occasional travel. A High School diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred. Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, or customer service in healthcare.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills; knowledge of health insurance terms.
• Bilingual abilities beneficial; valid driver's license for off-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-registrations, registrations, order management, and billing support for various patient settings.
• Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and clinical data; assist with medical information systems.
• Screen for eligibility and assist with payment options to minimize patient liabilities.
• Deliver customer-focused service and explain hospital revenue cycle expectations.

Hourly Pay Range:$18.38 - $26.65 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Position: Patient Service RepLocation: 3329 75th St. WoodridgePart Time: 24 hoursHours: M-F work 4 - 5 days per week. Rotating shifts 6:45a-3:15p, 8am -4:30pm and 10am - 7:30pm. Also 1 Sat am per monthRequired Travel: OccasionallyThis role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needsWhat you will do:Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for providing in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care and same day surgery patients with timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection functions and medical information systems. Collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources and obtains other information and signatures necessary for the above processes. Screens for third-party eligibility and enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment is secured. Interacts in a customer-focused manner to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met and that they understand the hospital’s revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options.What you will need:High School or GED RequiredAssociates Degree Business Administration/Management Preferred2 Years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service experience in a healthcare settingManual dexterity to operate various office machinesKnowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomyStrong data entry and keyboarding skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteBilingual skillsA valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location.
