Job summary

Olympic Sports & Spine in Puyallup is seeking a full-time, proactive PSR to join our busy clinic on 112th St. This role focuses on patient services such as phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, and front desk duties.

You will manage high-volume scheduling, verify authorizations, balance cash daily, prepare daily reports, and coordinate with billing and treating staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process all activities related to OSS’s patient services, including phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources.
• Manage all aspects of high-volume patient scheduling: verify insurance and obtain authorizations, maintain charts, collect payments and balance cash nightly, print reports, and maintain daily logs.
• Pull charts for next day’s appointments and make reminder calls; collaborate with billing and treating staff to resolve patient matters.
• Open and sort mail daily and participate in educational activities and monthly staff meetings.

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) seeks a full-time, proactive, customer-service-driven PSR to join our fast-paced Puyallup 112th St. clinic .

Additionally, our experienced staff offers comprehensive training and ongoing support.

The schedule is Monday-Friday,9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., for a total of 40 hours per week.

Summary of Duties:

Process all activities related to OSS’s patient services. Patient service functions include phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. Performs other daily operating functions associated with the front desk position.

Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling:

• Verify insurance and obtain any required authorizations.
• Build and maintain all patient charts.
• Collect any outstanding patient payments, balance the money nightly, and print reports.
• Maintain daily statistical log sheets that include all follow-ups.
• Pull charts for the next day’s appointments and make reminder calls.
• Work on the patient issue listing and task list daily to resolve all issues.
• Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
• Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve all patient matters.
• Open and sort mail daily.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.
