Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative for Knoxville Neurology Specialist to provide administrative support at the check-out desk. You will handle encounter forms, balance accounts, and process payments in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role requires knowledge of scheduling, billing, and insurance procedures, with emphasis on accurate data entry and patient communication. Day shifts and full-time hours, with 72 hours per pay period, are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum education not specified; HS diploma or GED may be preferred.
• 1 year medical office experience with scheduling, billing/collection, and ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 knowledge, or 3+ years customer-facing experience.
• Licensure: none

Responsibilities

• Maintains departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance, and safety standards.
• May answer and route telephone calls.
• Receives and records changes in patient information.
• Familiar with insurance procedures and plans participation.
• Ensures fee slip and charge entry accuracy for procedures.
• Schedules return visits and end-of-day procedures; balances at day end.
• Compiles data for billing personnel.
• Attends meetings and participates in committees as directed.
• Collaborates with patients, physicians, and care team in a team-based approach.
• Follows policies and completes required education; supports quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned
