Job summary

Qualifications

• One year medical office experience with scheduling, billing collection, and ICD-9/10/CPT-4 coding.
• OR at least three years of total customer-facing/customer service experience.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental policies, objectives, QA, and safety standards.
• Answer calls and route as needed.
• Record changes in patient information.
• Understand insurance procedures and plans.
• Record procedures on fee slips for charge entry.
• Schedule return visits and end-of-day procedures.
• Compile data for billing.
• Attend meetings and participate in committees.
• Collaborate with patients, physicians and care team.
• Follow safety standards; complete required education annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
