Job summary

USPI Hyde Park Surgery Center in Austin, TX is seeking a motivated Patient Service Coordinator. This full-time role requires weekday availability with early mornings, and occasionally 12-hour shifts based on the surgical schedule.

The incumbent will open the facility on surgery days and support patient services, medical records, estimates and documentation. This fast-paced ambulatory setting emphasizes quality, performance and patient satisfaction, with benefits including medical/dental/vision

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
2–3 years of hospital or medical office experience.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards.
Ability to manage time in a high-paced environment.
Professional appearance and communication skills.
Ability to verify insurance and collect payments.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Interact with patients and families, doctors and staff in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
Open facility on surgery days; shifts start early morning and may include extended hours.
Perform medical records work, procedure estimates, chart development and documentation.
Coordinate with physician offices to obtain required documentation for procedures.
Manage records database and support overall center operations.
