Job summary

USPI Texas Orthopedics Surgery Center in Austin is seeking a motivated Full-Time Patient Care Tech to join our team. We have 5OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call.

Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
• Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport.
• Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment.
• Assist during patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs, provide nutritional intake and report observations.
