Position: Per Diem Patient Service Coordinator

Location: West Orange, NJ

This role involves scheduling rehab services for medical providers delivering care to patients in Bergen County, following agency procedures and policies.

Responsibilities
  1. Schedule assignments efficiently and in accordance with departmental guidelines and territory assignments.
  2. Manage voice mail messages, including call-offs, visit stats, and schedule changes; report relevant information to management.
  3. Prepare, retrieve, and print charts as needed for scheduling.
  4. Maintain scheduling books and calendars per guidelines.
  5. Keep an accurate staffing log in the scheduling database.
  6. Verify patient information and availability; communicate appointments and staff assignments to patients.
  7. Support productivity standards through effective scheduling.
  8. Communicate with management regarding scheduling issues and patient matters.
  9. Enter clinical data into EMR systems accurately.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of medical terminology.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  3. Experience working collaboratively with diverse communities and within complex organizational structures.
  4. Strong organizational and planning skills.
  5. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Education/Training/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in home care and healthcare staff scheduling preferred.
