Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in New Bern, NC, is seeking a compassionate full-time Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) to join our Opioid Treatment Program team. You will perform front desk administrative duties, check in patients, collect co-pays, manage medical records, and handle patient paperwork with a focus on excellent service.

The PSC will be the face of our clinic, supporting adults with substance use and co-occurring conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with mental health population preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Check in and assist patients at the front desk.
• Collect co-pays and process patient paperwork and data.
• Handle medical records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families visiting the clinic.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support daily operations.

Your Role In Our Mission

As a Patient Services Coordinator on the team, you will be responsible for performing administrative and clerical functions in a clinic that serves adults with substance use, mental health and co-occurring medical conditions. The PSC will serve as a member of the front desk administrative team that checks in patients, collects co-pays, handles medical records and processes patient paperwork and data. As the face of the organization at check-in and check-out the PSC proves excellent customer service to all patients and families visiting the clinic.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive pay: $14 -16/hr. based on experience for this Full-time position.
