Job summary

Dayton Physicians Network is seeking a dedicated Support Associate - Scheduler to join our Middletown location. The role involves scheduling patient exams, diagnostic tests, treatments and surgeries, and coordinating with physicians and patients to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of medical office scheduling experience, with 2–3 years preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and an emphasis on customer service and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in a Medical Office or administrative position scheduling appointments or related tasks.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments and answers patient inquiries about scheduling.
• For RO specific role: processes physician orders for imaging, labs, and follow-ups.
• Notifies patients of all pertinent information required for surgery, treatment or testing including any payment expected prior to the scheduled date.
• Contacts patients to clarify, reschedule and resolve issues surrounding appointment times.
• Notifies Physician as necessary regarding their schedule.
• Completes patient forms such as insurance or leave certifications and forwards to physician for signature.
• Obtains, verifies and updates patient demographic information.
• Contacts physicians’ offices, labs, and testing facilities to request results and other documents as needed.
• Assists other office support positions as needed or requested.
• Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adhere to Dayton Physicians Core Values.
• Other duties as assigned.
