Job summary

Primary Healthcare Centers is seeking a friendly, organized Scheduling Representative to join our Patient Services team. You will be the main contact for patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and provide essential information to ensure a positive experience.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, proficient with computers, and able to communicate clearly. High school diploma required; Healthcare certifications or LPN license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certificate or degree is preferred.
• Current Georgia LPN license preferred.
• Two years of experience in a medical office preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls to the scheduling department and operator line
• Schedule patient appointments based on availability, urgency, and patient needs
• Reschedule and cancel appointments as needed
• Confirm and update patient information
• Provide patients with appointment dates, times, locations, and preparation instructions
• Answer patient questions regarding appointments and procedures
• Communicate applicable policies and sliding-scale update requirements
• Maintain accurate scheduling and patient records
• Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts professionally and compassionately
• Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and other departments
• Perform additional duties as needed
