Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of patient scheduling software and ARGs (Appointment Request Guidelines) for the providers they schedule.
• Pre-registers all new patients scheduling appointments with 95% accuracy.
• Obtains demographic data for the referring physician when a patient is scheduled, including the reason for the visit.
• Verifies patients' insurance electronically or by phone to ensure coverage is active and informs patients of their expected payment at the time of service.
• Completes data entry of pre-registration notes in the scheduling system.
• Utilizes access to resource guidelines and scheduling protocols to determine the need for financial counseling.
