Job summary

As a Patient Safety Technician, you will monitor patients, provide calming redirection, address hazards, and assist with activities of daily living under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and patient’s environment, reporting as appropriate.
• May assist patient with activities of daily living as delegated by supervising RN, including ambulation and toileting.
