Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Location: Kishwaukee Hospital. Shift: Overnight, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM. Part time and full time opportunities available for Patient Safety Technician.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and patient's environment, and reports as appropriate.
• May assist patient with activities of daily living as delegated by supervising RN.
• Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring for at-risk patients.
• Remotely monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring and calls for staff as needed.
