Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital is seeking a Patient Safety Technician for the overnight shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). Both part-time and full-time positions are available.

Responsibilities include staying at the bedside, calming the patient, hazard identification, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patients via video surveillance. A High School Diploma and BLS certification within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by staff.
• Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient.
• Identifies and removes hazards from patient environment and reports.
• May assist with activities of daily living as delegated by RN.
• Provides continuous safety observation via video monitoring for at-risk patients.
• Remotely monitors multiple patients via video monitoring and directs staff as needed.
