Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Risk Management professional to oversee risk programs for ambulatory clinics across North Wisconsin. The role is full-time with a hybrid schedule, Monday–Friday days, and requires collaboration with clinical and executive leadership to reduce risk and improve patient safety.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and at least five years in healthcare risk management; CPPS or CPHRM certification is preferred or achievable within 12

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in a system healthcare setting, with risk management, healthcare law, patient safety and quality.
• Nursing or clinical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manages and coordinates the Risk Management Program at assigned site(s) to align within industry standards and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Partners with site leadership to implement measures for risk reduction and keep management informed of issues.
• Manages health outcomes, loss prevention, and claims management to support patient care quality and address risks.
• Participates in site safety meetings and weekly risk huddles.
• Oversees educational needs of assigned sites and identifies content experts and speakers.
• Oversees adverse event reporting, investigation, and resolution with multiple departments.
