Job summary

Qualifications

• CPPS designation to be obtained within 12 months unless exempt by leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing or related field.
• Typically requires 7 years in clinical care and 2+ years in safety, quality, or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of site patient safety program with frontline tools.
• Lead High Reliability Unit program including coach training and sustainment.
• Coordinate safety efforts across site departments to align with safety strategy.
• Present to site executive teams on serious safety events and program status.
• Investigate serious safety events using root cause analysis and other tools.
• Identify and oversee corrective actions to reduce risk with system implications.
• Participate in training and development of patient safety team members.
• Review daily safety events and analyze data for improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with medical education to ensure CLER compliance.
• Provide ongoing safety education to teams and physicians.
