Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Patient Safety Clinical Specialist to drive clinical quality performance improvement and safety culture across the organization.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in quality management or a clinical setting, with preferred Lean Six Sigma experience and an RN/MD or similar clinical degree. This role involves coordinating data, coaching staff, creating safety content, and leading safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience in quality management or a professional clinical setting required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• RN, MD or other clinical health care degree required.
• Lean Six Sigma or other PI Methodology experience preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
• RN License in Massachusetts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organize, coordinate, support and participate in clinical quality performance measurement and improvement activities.
• Improve patient safety and culture of safety across the organization.
• Coach frontline staff and share best practices.
• Create content for Patient Safety workgroups and share data.
• Monitor effectiveness of projects.
