Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Patient Safety Program Manager to drive system-wide safety initiatives across CMH. You will lead investigations, risk assessments, RCA and FMEA efforts to reduce patient harm and improve outcomes.

Your background includes active RN licensure, clinical experience, and a preference for CPHP certification; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years of clinical experience or demonstrated understanding of ambulatory and acute care clinical practices.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support system-wide patient safety measurements, evaluations and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Maine Sentinel Event law; identify, investigate and report sentinel events.
• Lead root cause analysis and failure modes effects analysis across the system.
• Coordinate and align system leaders to identify patient safety risks and promote a culture of safety.
