Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing or healthcare related field
• Experience: 2+ years in Quality Improvement
• Certification: CPPS within 2 years of hire
• License: Current RN or Arizona allied health license, if applicable
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Leadership, cost/risk analysis, communication, teamwork, problem solving, interpersonal skills, independent work, dashboard design, strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Tracks outcomes of patient safety improvement initiatives with measurable, sustainable results
• Drive performance improvement across functional teams for effective communication and completed projects
• Uses PDCA and A3 tools to design, implement and track safety initiatives
• Supports post-implementation monitoring to validate sustained improvement
• Establishes and revises procedures for Quality Improvement programs
• Creates plans with milestones, risk management and deadlines
• Facilitates and tracks program pilots as needed
• Designs dashboards/reports communicating trends and opportunities
• Maintains quality and safety dashboards and scorecards
• Provides progress updates to Senior Leadership and Safety Council
• Collaborates with Analytics to report clinical and financial outcomes
• Disseminates learnings via Safety Alerts and advisories
• Gather requirements and present program outcomes
• Utilizes safety data to identify improvement opportunities
• Performs other duties to support department effectiveness
