Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is hiring a Part-time Nursing Support/Health Care Assistant for day shifts. You will provide direct patient observation, assist with rounds, and help maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a current BLS certification within 3 months of hire. Expect a 24-hour per week schedule with rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• De-escalation training completed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct observation of patient at arm's length.
• Participate in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Ensure environmental safety for patients.
• Answer call lights and communicate issues to RN.
• Restock department supplies and stations.
• Transport patients within the department as needed.
• Clean patient equipment per protocol.
• Complete patient safety sitter competency.
• Document patient care activities.
• Communicate changes in patient behavior to RN.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
