Job summary

Plymouth, MA-based Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a part-time Night Nursing Support Person to provide patient observation and safety. You will assist with roundings, respond to call lights, restock supplies, transport patients, document care, and communicate changes to the Registered Nurse.

A High School diploma and BLS are required, with further de-escalation training provided on orientation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Completes hospital de-escalation training during unit orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and continuous observation of patient within arm's length.
• Participates in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Restocks supplies and prepares safety stations.
• Transports patients as needed within the department.
• Completes required documentation for patient care.
• Communicates changes in patient behavior to RN.
• Assists with safety and quality improvement activities.
