Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Nurse who coordinates patient safety programs, gathers error data and conducts root cause analyses. You will perform risk assessments per ECRI guidance and propose practice changes to strengthen safety culture. Training and development activities are part of the role.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Nursing with at least 2 years in nursing or safety roles; Georgia RN license or multi-state compact is required. Bachelor’s in nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia or Compact license at hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing or adverse event monitoring/mitigation experience
• Experience with data gathering, analysis and reporting in patient safety

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient safety programs and activities.
• Collect and analyze data on patient-related errors and perform root cause analyses.
• Perform risk assessments based on ECRI recommendations and suggest policy changes.
• Deliver patient safety and risk reduction training and participate in organizational development.
