Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patients under RN supervision. You will monitor safety, perform checks, document observations, and respond to changing conditions with prompt communication.

The role requires mobility, ability to stand for extended periods, and adherence to isolation precautions. BLS certification is required and prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stay mobile and stand for periods of time.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of the Patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Must be able to travel with patient when needed
• Provide frequent checks on patients that have a Patient Watch Order.
• Provide direction to patient to ensure that they do not fall or wander off.
• Record and Document patient behavior.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
