Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a patient safety attendant to proactively ensure and maintain patient safety and security under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Observes and monitors safety and comfort of non-suicidal, suicidal and patients who require frequent or continual observation due to medical and/or safety reasons.

Schedule: PRN, Part time, Rotating Shift. Requirements include CPI certification within 6 months of hire and the ability to read, write and speak English.

Qualifications

• CPI certification required; must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor safety and comfort of patients requiring frequent or continual observation and contact.
• Maintain patient safety and security under the direction of Registered Nurse.
