Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS seeks a Patient Safety Attendant (PRN) to provide continuous observation for high-risk patients and support a safe, patient-centered environment.

You will maintain direct sight with patients, assist during transport and procedures, and collaborate with the nursing team to prevent falls and self-harm. This role emphasizes compassionate care and safety in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• De-Escalation Training required within first 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct line of sight with the patient at all times.
• Accompany patients during transportation, testing and procedures away from patient’s room.
• Create a safe environment using fall prevention, infection control and self-harm prevention knowledge.
• Perform regular room assessments after visits.
