Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a MercyOne Health System hospital, is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant for night shift. The role focuses on proactively ensuring patient safety and security under the direction of a Registered Nurse, with continuous observation for patients needing enhanced monitoring.

Full-time position with a 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week). Candidates must have CPI certification within 6 months of hire, English proficiency, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• CPI certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

As a patient safety attendant at MercyOne, you will be responsible for proactively ensuring and maintaining patient safety and security under the direction of Registered Nurse. Observes and monitors safety and comfort of non-suicidal, suicidal and patients who require frequent or continual observation and contact, due to psychiatric, medical and/or safety reasons.

Schedule: Full time .9 (36 hours per week)

General Requirements

• CPI certification required; must be obtained with 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
