Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Patient Safety Attendant in Kings Mountain, NC to provide vigilant observation and support for patients. You will document observations, perform handoffs to the RN, and help maintain a ligature-free environment while ensuring clear communication with nursing staff.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, CPI certification prior to conducting patient observation, and a commitment to patient safety in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment and remain with patient to provide the appropriate level of observation as delegated by the RN.
• Document information required during the patient observation experience.
• Perform handoff communication with the RN regarding pertinent patient information.
• Assist nursing team in maintaining a ligature-free environment.
• Notify and update the licensed nurse of immediate patient safety and staff needs.
• Foster positive and professional communication between patients and staff.
