Job summary

Advocate Health Kings Mountain is hiring a Part-time Patient Safety Attendant to monitor and protect patients during shifts from 7P to 7A, including rotating weekends. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; hospital experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• CPI certification required prior to conducting patient observation.
• Ability to speak and understand English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment and observe the patient at all times as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Document information required during the patient observation experience.
• Perform handoff communication with the Registered Nurse regarding pertinent patient information.
• Assist nursing team in maintaining a ligature-free environment as appropriate.
• Notify and update the licensed nurse of any patient safety or care needs.
• Foster professional communication between patients and staff.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
