Atrium Health in Monroe, NC is hiring a Patient Safety Attendant for a full-time day shift. This 36-hour week position requires observing patients at all times under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with every third weekend 7a-7p.

The role focuses on maintaining a ligature-free environment, documenting observations, and communicating with nursing staff. High school diploma or GED and BLS are required; CPI certification prior to conducting observation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• CPI certification required prior to conducting patient observation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment and remain with the patient at all times under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Document observations accurately as part of the patient observation experience.
• Perform handoffs with the RN regarding pertinent patient information.
• Notify nursing staff of immediate patient safety, care needs, or staff requirements.
