Atrium Health Kings Mountain is seeking a part-time Patient Safety Attendant to provide 7P-7A observation for patients, with rotating weekends. The role involves staying with patients, documenting observations, and communicating with nursing staff to ensure a ligature-free environment and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and certifications for BLS and CPI prior to observation duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• CPI certification required prior to conducting patient observation.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe environment and stay with the patient for continuous observation as delegated by the RN.
• Document information required during patient observation.
• Perform handoff communication with the RN regarding pertinent patient information.
• Assist nursing team to maintain a ligature-free environment as appropriate.
• Notify and update the licensed nurse of immediate patient safety and care needs.
• Foster professional communication between patients and staff.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
