Job summary

HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc. in Flemington, NJ is hiring for a Float Nursing position focused on patient safety through close observation. This full-time role requires CPR certification and CPI training, with shifts Sun–Sat every other weekend, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

The position provides supervision of patients requiring observation, one-to-one monitoring, assistance with feeding under RN direction, and engagement in diversional activities. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification required; CPI training prior to or soon after hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Position Summary

This position provides supervision of patients requiring observation of their personal safety in a hospital setting.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Provides one to one observation to ensure patient's personal safety/Observation of patients that may be provided by visual camera monitoring surveillance.
• Assists with feeding of patient under the direction of the RN
• Engages patient in diversional activities under the direction of the RN
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation)

None

License, Registry or Certification

Current CPR certification required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI course will be provided by Hunterdon.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to use language that is easily understood.
