Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a patient meal service teammate to support hospital dietary operations. You will serve meals and snacks to patients, deliver room service menus, and assist with dietary instructions and orders.

Role includes using computerized diet sheets, recording intake and calories, and maintaining HACCP compliance. On-the-job training is provided; prior customer service or food service experience is preferred, with flexibility for on-call PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• Direct customer service experience preferred.
• Previous food service experience and/or work with therapeutic diets preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and snacks to patients in a professional manner.
• Maintain supplies up to PAR (Periodic Automatic Replenishment) levels and ensure room service delivery.
• Instruct patients on meal ordering systems and verify diet orders.
• Record intake and calories using patient computer systems and diet sheets.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, nutrition techs, dietitians and call center staff.
