Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Room Service Host to ensure courteous communication with patients, families, and staff while distributing menus, obtaining meal choices, and delivering trays and snacks. You will coordinate with nursing staff on dietary needs and accurately update CBORD entries, supporting a smooth meal service in a hospital setting.

The role requires basic English, strong customer service and computer skills; CBORD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Strong basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update patient meal selections in the CBORD Room Service system and verify orders.
• Communicate with patients, family members, and nursing staff about meals and diet needs.
• Deliver nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products to patients.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and rotate stock as needed.
• Identify safety hazards and report them promptly.
• May perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed.
