Job summary

CHAS Health is seeking a dedicated enrollment specialist to extend patient access to Medicaid, CHIP, and other qualified plans. You will guide patients through plan options, assist with eligibility, and educate on benefits.

The role involves outreach, collaboration with clinics, and training colleagues on insurance resources. A HS diploma is required, with preference for health-industry experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Health industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with medical insurance very helpful.
• Face-to-face customer/patient service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Enrolls patients in Medicaid, CHIP, Qualified Health plans, and Qualified Dental plans.
• Reviews patient demographics to determine eligibility for health insurance and assistance programs.
• Educates patients regarding proper utilization of insurance plans.
• Participates in outreach programs and trains staff on current insurance and resources.
• Tracks enrollments and managed care conversions.
