Job summary

Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Patient Representative to greet patients and visitors, manage front-desk duties, and support registration across SURHC practices.

You will handle calls and appointment scheduling, relay information between patients, families and medical staff, and provide interpreting assistance as needed to ensure clear, respectful communication and efficient clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in communication, customer service or working with the general public, preferably in a medical care facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic computer software (Word, basic scheduling systems).

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and visitors to the appropriate practices and services.
• Make telephone calls and schedule appointments for patients.
• Coordinate communication between patients, families, medical staff and administrative staff.
• Provide interpreting assistance for staff, patients and their families as needed.
• Assist with understanding and relaying information to ensure complete patient information is obtained.

The Patient Representative will perform general clerical and receptionist duties. This position is responsible for greeting and directing patients/visitors to the practices and services at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center (SURHC). Make telephone calls and appointments, and communicate to patients, visitors, and staff. The Patient Representative may also conduct general interpreting for staff, patients and their families in the SURHC practices.
