Job summary

Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics is seeking a Patient Representative to be the frontline contact for patients and families in our pediatric orthopedic practice. You will greet visitors, manage appointments, verify insurance, and assist with billing while ensuring HIPAA compliance and excellent customer service.

The role requires strong administrative and communication skills, experience in a medical office, and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, or Athenahealth.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Representative to serve as a vital point of contact for patients and their families within our pediatric orthopedic pratice. The ideal candidate will posses strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems.

As a Patient Representative, you will facilitate patient interactions, manage medical documentation, and ensure a seamless experience for all vistors and callers, supporting our mission to deliver outstanding patient care.

You will enjoy an eight week paid training program to insure you are prepared to confidently complete the tasks within your position.

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional front desk customer service while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.

Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Verify insurance information and assist with health insurance inquiries, ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies.

Assist patients with medical billing process, including collection of payments and explanation of billing statements.

Maintain knowledge of health information management pratices, medical terminology, and clinic procedures to provide accurate assistance.

Experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is beneficial.

Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth; or other EHR systems is advantageous.

Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience, and office management tasks.

Utilize computer skills include Microsoft Office and EMR/EHR management software to update patient information efficiently.

Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse patient population.
