UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist for our Physical Therapy team in Buffalo, NY. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient records to support smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Travel to multiple clinic locations may be required to cover staffing needs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical reception, patient registration, or customer service preferred.
• Experience in Physical Therapy/orthopaedics or healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion.
• Register, check in, and check out patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, pharmacy, PCP, and referring provider information.
• Ensure HIPAA acknowledgments, financial policies, consent forms, and annual updates are completed.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations as required.
• Review documentation for completeness before filing into the EMR.
• Scan, fax, copy, and electronically manage patient documentation.
• Review and process electronic triage messages.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR and collaborate with clinic staff.
• Float between Physical Therapy locations to cover staffing needs.
