Job summary

UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a Customer-focused Patient Registration Specialist for our Physical Therapy team. You will greet patients, schedule visits, verify insurance, and maintain accurate records, ensuring a smooth registration process.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Travel to multiple clinic locations is required based on operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of medical reception or patient registration experience preferred.
• Experience in Physical Therapy/orthopaedic healthcare is preferred and Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with professionalism and warmth.
• Register, check in, and check out patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and provider information.
• Ensure HIPAA acknowledgments, financial policies, and forms are completed correctly.
• Answer calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
