Indiana University Health is seeking a patient access representative to warmly welcome patients, verify demographics and insurance, and schedule appointments at our Metro Indianapolis location. You will support medical staff, handle check-in/check-out, and guide visitors, ensuring a smooth patient flow throughout the day.

The role requires basic proficiency in MS Office and an ability to learn ICD-10/CPT coding.

Competenze

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical practices.
  • Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT preferred).

Mansioni

  • Welcome patients and manage check-in/check-out process.
  • Review insurance information and verify demographics.
  • Complete pre-registration and schedule appointments.
  • Support medical assistants and understand provider preferences.
  • Troubleshoot patient issues and ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct patients/visitors appropriately.
