Stormont Vail Health seeks a Registrar in Topeka to greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and obtain signatures on documents. The role includes accurate check-in and admission functions to support a smooth patient flow.

The registrar will provide excellent customer service, confirm eligibility, explain required forms, answer questions, and maintain confidentiality in a healthcare setting in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer service.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Medicare Secondary Payer guidelines.
• Able to learn basic medical terminology used in the department.

Mansioni

• Register patients in a timely manner including demographic, insurance, visit information, and obtain signatures on documents.
• Complete check-in and admission functions based on service area.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and other guests to Stormont Vail.
• Complete financial discussions including providing patient estimates and payment collections.
• Validate patient identity and apply patient safety armbands.
• Escort patients to treatment area.
• Answer department phone and transfer calls as needed.
