Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix is seeking a PRN HOPD Registration Clerk to serve as the first contact for patients at Deer Valley location and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include registering patients, scheduling procedures, and coordinating with physicians’ offices.

This role supports the HOPD Registration team with data entry, insurance verification, and charge capture while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Requires a high school diploma and experience in healthcare settings; fingerprints clearance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year in healthcare or scheduling/registration preferred.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required or eligible within 7 days.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers at the first point of contact.
• Handles telephone inquiries, directs calls and messages.
• Schedules procedures and manages appointment flow.
• Performs registration and data entry for patient records.
• Obtains insurance authorization and collects co-pays as applicable.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant patient information and communications.
