Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for patient registration, preregistration, and insurance eligibility confirmation.
• Perform new patient registration and update patient and insurance information.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.
• Act as a welcoming front door, instilling loyalty and ensuring a positive experience.
• Handle cash collections and ensure accurate payment processing.

You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections, while advocating for patient needs and providing exceptional customer service. What You Will Do

• Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in, preregistration, and insurance eligibility confirmation.
• Perform new patient registration and update existing patient and insurance information.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf to meet their needs.
• Act as a welcoming front door, instilling loyalty and anticipating patient needs while providing efficient customer relationship management.
• Handle cash collections and ensure accurate processing of payments.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person, and in writing.
• Willingness and ability to instruct others.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems and ICD-10 medical terminology.
