Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Specialist, Patient Registration to facilitate new patient onboarding and coordinate with sales, pharmacy and nursing to transition patients to home/AIS services.

You will create and obtain documentation for referrals, assist patients with upfront payment options, and support denials management and follow-up on paperwork to ensure clean claims. Two years of related experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years experience in related role.
• Healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program).
• Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing).
• Assist Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
