Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Registration Associate to manage patient registration and collect financial obligations.

This role monitors registration activities, collects demographic and billing information, deposits, co-pays, deductibles, and prepares armbands for patient identification. The candidate should have a high school diploma and at least one year of patient registration experience; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
• One year of patient registration experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors registration activities in assigned area(s) to ensure completion of registration and collection duties; reporting potential issues as necessary.
• Performs registration duties including, but not limited to, obtaining demographic/billing/insurance information, preparing WVU Medicine standard consent form, collecting deposits/co-payments/deductibles/patient liability payments, and preparing armbands for patient identification.
• Assists in training employees and educating staff on pertinent changes to their role.
• Assists in coordinating down time procedures.
• Organizes daily tasks in appropriate priority to achieve optimal productivity, accountability, and efficiency.
• May also be required to complete daily template adjustments due to unexpected call offs or clinic situations.
